Associate, Rechtsanwältin Munich
Profile of Emily Peller

Intellectual property is often among a company’s most valuable assets and combines legal precision, economic relevance and an international dimension. One of the aspects I find most engaging is the close connection between legal issues and creative concepts. I place great importance on working closely with my clients’ ideas, needs and objectives in order to develop tailored strategies for the protection and enforcement of their rights.

I advise national and international clients on all aspects of IP law, with a particular focus on trade mark, design and unfair competition matters. My practice ranges from judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of IP rights to strategic counselling and the management of trade mark and design portfolios, as well as representation before all German civil courts, the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the Federal German Patent Court (BPatG), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the European General Court in Luxembourg (GC).

Before joining D Young & Co in 2025, I spent five years at a renowned IP boutique in Munich following my admission to the German Bar in 2020. There, I advised clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, from strategic counselling to the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of IP rights. During my legal training, I also gained valuable insights into the practice of an international full-service law firm and one of Europe’s leading media companies.
