IET: an introduction to intellectual property

Alice Stuart-Grumbar will present an introduction to IP at this Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) London Harrow Local Network event at Harrow College on the evening of Thursday 05 February. The presentation will initially discuss the different types of IP and why these are important. It will then offer more detail on the patenting process: how it works, what working with a patent attorney involves and the merits of filing a patent (including briefly touching on the Patent Box). The presentation will briefly discuss AI-generated inventions and ownership of an invention developed during employment.
