About Summer of IP
Summer of IP is an IP Inclusive initiative that aims to raise awareness of careers in the intellectual property sector and improve access to the profession. It brings together introductory events, resources and employer-led activities to help participants meet professionals, build skills and gain practical insight into IP careers.
Summer of IP is open to everyone, with a particular focus on encouraging participation from groups that are under-represented in the IP sector. The programme works with outreach organisations to help more people discover the opportunities available in IP and consider whether the profession could be for them.
Raising awareness of IP careers helps the sector reach talented people who may not otherwise have considered the profession. A more diverse IP workforce brings a wider range of perspectives, supports stronger analysis and contributes to more creative problem-solving across the sector.
