My background is primarily in immunology and molecular genetics, but I support a broad range of innovative clients. Whatever the field, I enjoy working at the forefront of technology, applying my scientific and legal knowledge to give clients the edge.
I spent most of my academic life studying immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics, and I’ve continued to focus on these areas in my legal career. I joined D Young and Co in 2012, and I’m particularly experienced in sectors relating to antibodies, chimeric antigen receptors, RNAi technologies, vaccines, viral vectors, gene editing technologies, diagnostics, peptides, food technology and nutritional compositions.
I enjoy representing a wide range of clients – from academic institutions and spin-outs to multinational companies. My work for them covers all areas of patent law including drafting, prosecution, oppositions, appeals, freedom to operate and validity opinions, and due diligence.
