Kyumin Lee

I joined the Electronics, Engineering & IT team in 2025, drawing on my design and manufacturing experience to help prosecute patents before the UKIPO, the EPO, and other patent offices.

Before joining D Young & Co, I completed my MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath, focusing on medical applications and additive manufacturing. For my final-year project, I developed a precision micro-adjustment mechanism for Olympic recurve archery equipment. 

I also undertook a year-long placement in the nuclear fusion sector, prototyping remote handling tooling and working with nickel superalloys in highly regulated environments. During this time, I was a key contributor to the design of an RC Mars rover that won the UKSEDS ORT Best Innovation Prize.
