Kyumin Lee

I’m fascinated by how patent law intertwines public scrutiny, private enforcement, and commercial application. I joined D Young & Co in 2025, and I look forward to applying my technical expertise and legal knowledge to help clients protect their innovations. 

Before joining the Electronics, Engineering & IT team, I completed my MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath. I built a strong background in a wide variety of fields including medical engineering, robotics, and additive manufacturing.

I also undertook a year-long placement in the nuclear fusion sector, working on remote handling systems, advanced manufacturing, and design challenges within a highly regulated environment. For my Master’s project, I developed a precision micro-adjustment system for performance archery equipment, emphasising sustainable design and potential patentability.
