Technical Assistant London
Profile of Elisabeth Bubna-Litic

I joined the biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical team at D Young & Co in January 2025. My expertise lies primarily in biochemistry and biotechnology, with a focus on synthetic biology and computational biology.

Since joining the firm, I have been introduced to a range of areas of patent law, including drafting, prosecution and opposition work. I enjoy collaborating with a diverse range of clients across the biotechnology industrial landscape to help bring their cutting-edge technologies to commercialisation.

I have completed a PhD in Life Sciences at Imperial College London, specialising in metabolic engineering, microbial consortium design and strain engineering using a combination of in vitro and in silico approaches with downstream application to the biofertiliser industry. I also have experience developing mathematical models of biological systems, gene assembly, and biosynthetic pathway design methods directed to the production of high-value small molecules.
