Practice & Professional Experience
Experience in private practice in Germany and the UK coupled with industrial experience in the energy industry and in IT consulting (in both Europe and the US) has allowed Anthony to represent clients across a range of technologies extending from telecommunications and medical devices to the oil industry and engineering.
Anthony’s clients range from universities and technology transfer organisations (TTOs) to SMEs and multinational corporations. Anthony joined D Young & Co in 2006 and became a partner in 2009. He leads D Young & Co’s mechanical practice in London and acts for some of the most prominent organisations in their respective fields.
Anthony represents clients across a range of technologies before the European Patent Office’s Examining and Opposition Divisions and also before the Boards of Appeal. In the UK Anthony acts before the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office in both ex parte and inter partes proceedings. Contentious matters involving infringement and validity and designs are additional areas of Anthony’s work.
A regular visitor to the US and to Asia, Anthony frequently lectures on law changes and developments in Europe.

MEng in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Birmingham.
Royal Academy of Engineering Scholar.
Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London.
Post Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Litigation (with commendation), Nottingham Law School.
