INTA report on Women in LeadershIP

INTA’s Women’s LeadershIP initiative recently published the results of a survey first launched on International Women’s Day 2020. The INTA survey contains some interesting information about positive steps that can be taken by companies to improve the advancement of women in business. The report also contains a useful toolkit to help guide those involved in IP in supporting the advancement of women.

D Young & Co has already implemented many of the best practice recommendations mentioned in the report. In particular, work life integration and flexible working are recognised as key areas of importance that have been magnified by the recent pandemic.

Whilst the INTA report focuses solely on women, we believe that many of these best practices also encourage and support diversity across all gender identities, sexual orientation, race, and those with disabilities (hidden or otherwise). To that end we have in place an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working group made up of partners and senior members of the business support team. The group is led by our ED&I partner, Dr Zöe Clyde-Watson, who retains responsibility for strategy relating to diversity initiatives.

As members of IP Inclusive we are also working with others in the IP industry to improve diversity across the entire sector. To read more about what we are doing please see our diversity initiatives and events web page.
