Lianna Fung

I joined the patent team at D Young & Co in March 2025 and am interested in the fields of medical technology and optical communications.

Prior to entering the patent profession, I completed a Master’s degree in physics at Imperial College London, in which I designed and built a scattered light light-sheet microscope. This project provided me with valuable hands-on experience in optical apparatus and image processing, and was applied to the imaging of in vivo specimens. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong interest in the application of physics across a broad range of technologies, an interest that informs my approach to supporting clients at D Young & Co.

Since joining the firm I have gained experience in the prosecution of UK and European patent applications.
