You will provide a first-class HR service to the Firm by delivering professional, commercial and value adding support and advice to the partners, supervisors and employees.

What you will enjoy

  • Acting as the firm's internal specialist on employment law
  • Reviewing, updating and drafting HR policies
  • Leading the firm's ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, sickness absence, flexible working and capability matters
  • Leading and managing the onboarding and probation process
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring timely progression of all ER matters
  • Providing guidance to employees on a range of wellbeing and employee relations matters
  • Leading and managing the leaver process including conducting exit interviews
  • Managing the life cycle of the trainee's qualification journey within the firm
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on all IP exams, liaising with professional bodies and examination boards to ensure the firm is aware of current and future changes
  • Being responsible for ensuring that all training is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Working with the HR Manager and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion partner to arrange EDI events and initiatives
  • Supporting the firm's Mental Health First Aider service

What you will need

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or ER Specialist role preferably within a professional service, legal or similarly regulated environment
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases from end-to-end
  • Strong, current knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR
  • The ability to interpret legislation and draft policies, presentations and guidance documents
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
  • Experience of managing competing demands and working to tight deadlines
  • Work collaboratively with the HR team and other departments to identify and drive forward value add initiatives and projects
  • Experience in the design and delivery of training
