Imogen Andrews

I joined the patent team at D Young & Co in 2025 with a background in chemistry and particular expertise in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. 

Since joining D Young & Co I have gained experience in the prosecution of UK, European and foreign patent applications for a variety of clients across chemistry and pharmaceuticals. 

Before joining the firm, I completed an integrated master’s degree in chemistry at the University of York, including an industrial placement year at GlaxoSmithKline researching photoredox catalysis. I then completed a PhD in medicinal chemistry and structural biology at the Institute of Cancer Research. My doctoral research was highly multidisciplinary and focused on developing small molecule splicing modulators for use as anti-cancer agents.
