I joined the patents team at D Young & Co in 2017 after graduating with a masters degree in physics from the University of Southampton.
Since joining D Young and Co I have gained experience working on patents in a wide range of technologies in engineering, electronics and IT.
My academic background covers a variety of areas in physics, ranging from quantum physics to cosmology, with a particular focus on photonics. During my Masters degree in Physics, I completed a research project in the flow of atomic vapour in a miniaturised magneto-optical trap.
I am currently the South Coast Regional Secretary for the CIPA Informals committee, a role which involves organising networking events for trainee patent attorneys across the South Coast.
