This role is primarily involved in the maintenance, enhancements and life cycle management of IP configurations, letters, data and reports. This involves working closely with end users and team members to ensure that developments meet the business requirements and improve business processes.

  • Performing weekly quality assurance checking in respect to automated searches and case details
  • Reviewing and checking law updates provided by CPA Software Solutions and analysing the effect of changes on cases
  • Developing, maintaining and managing bespoke report and letter generation from the firms IP Systems
  • IP System Mailbox processing including issue and problem logging, management and resolution
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including training documentation, of any additional functionality or amendments to the IP Systems
  • Assisting in the deployment of any changes to the firms IP systems as required
  • Maintaining Client Name Details in conjunction with Accounts to ensure parity with CMS
  • Enhancements and on-going management of IP System reports
  • System administration of the firm’s IP systems
  • Providing second line and where possible third line support for IP / Legal Services Systems including Inprotech, EPO Online Filing, iManage, Aderant CMS and SuiteCRM
  • Providing support to the IT outsource providers in their delivery of managed services and the service desk in relation to IP system issues

What you will need

  • Experience is preferred within an Intellectual Property services organisation, ideally having exposure to relevant Patent and/or Trade Mark formalities work
  • Experience as a member of a project team delivering business solutions (desirable, but not essential)
  • A desire to acquire/develop IT technical skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office to an advanced level – Creating macros, template creation, using VBA within MS Office
  • Experience of database technologies
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work to work within a pressurised environment to agreed timescales
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work within in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
