Stephen specialises in biotechnology, molecular biology and genetics, including “on chip” technology, sequencing techniques, diagnostic agents, vaccines, transgenics, gene therapies, pesticide formulations and medical devices.

Stephen joined D Young & Co in 2009 after 9 years experience in private practice.

Qualifications

BSc in Applied Biology (Genetics), University of Liverpool.
PhD in Genetics/Molecular Biology, University of Liverpool. Research into DNA repair and recombination Streptomyces Coelicolor.
Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London.
European Patent Attorney 2004.
Chartered Patent Attorney 2004.
