Degree in Physics from Balliol College, Oxford University (first class). PhD in physics (astronomy) from Southampton University. Worked as researcher into satellite communications.

Professional Experience

Industrial experience as a manager in IBM UK Intellectual Property department until 2001

Responsible for patent portfolio and budgeting in Europe.

Joined D Young & Co in 2001 and became a Partner in 2003.

Involved in patent drafting and prosecution, as well as general consultancy on IP.

Former member of TMPDF Patents Committee.
