IPO Annual Meeting

D Young & Co patent and trade mark partners and IP solicitors will be attending the annual Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) meeting at the Marriott Marquis, San Francisco.


Established in 1972, the IPO is a trade association representing the interests of owners of patents, trade marks, copyrights and trade secrets. The annual meeting offers a busy schedule of seminars, workshops and committee sessions.

International Trademark Issues Session

Partner and solicitor, Matthew Dick, will be speaking during the ‘International Trademark Issues’ session on Tuesday 19 September. The session will outline the law relating to the most common themes of brand protection in different jurisdictions. Speakers will discuss strategies for pre-launching products, how to best protect the products in multiple jurisdictions, tips on how to stop infringement, and the effects of Brexit on brand protection. Matthew specialises in all areas of brand-related law and litigation, and will offer a UK and European perspective to the discussion.
