D Young & Co Sponsors the 2012 British Engineering Excellence Awards
The 2012 BEEAs were announced at an awards ceremony in London on Thursday 25 October. This year the awards attracted a bumper crop of entries from all corners of the UK's engineering community, showing that British companies are competing on a global stage and holding their own.
As sponsors of the 'Small Company of the Year Award' D Young & Co were delighted to be present at the awards ceremony, with Miles Haines proudly presenting the award to the winner Outram Research, a company specialising in the design/manufature of high quality, high specification power monitoring equipment. Miles was accompanied by D Young & Co colleagues Anthony Albutt, Anthony Carlick and Richard Burton, who were pleased to see valued client Parker Hannifin win the 'Grand Prix' for a simple, elegant solution to a pollution issue that is green, recyclable and doesn't require consumables.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Ed Tranter, Executive Director of New Electronics' parent company Findlay Media, said: "The UK's engineering sector remains a world leader and entries to this year's awards reinforce that view."
