Practice & Professional Experience

Michael’s main areas of expertise relate to chemistry and mechanical devices. Michael’s practice includes clients in the pharmaceutical, fuel additives, food technology, polymer chemistry, paint and surgical devices industries. Michael acts for multinational corporations and for small and medium enterprises, including medium-size pharmaceutical companies. 

Prior to joining D Young & Co in 2004, Michael worked in private practice in London for 4 years. Michael became an associate at D Young & Co in 2005.

Qualifications

BSc in Chemistry, University of Loughborough.
PhD in Organic Chemistry, University of Loughborough. Research into the synthesis of nitrogen containing heterocylic compounds by a modified Pictet-Spengler reaction.
MSc in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London
European Patent Attorney 2003.
Chartered Patent Attorney 2005.
European Design Attorney.
