Louise Holliday

Practice & Professional Experience
Louise’s technical background is in biochemistry and immunology, specialising in all types of biotech patent work, in particular molecular immunology, antibodies, vaccines and stem cells. Her client base includes academic departments, research institutes, start-ups, SMEs and larger biotech companies. She is particularly experienced in advising academic clients, spin-outs and small biotech companies on patent strategy.
Louise regularly lectures on a variety of topics, including patenting antibodies and obtaining patent protection for stem cells.
Prior to joining D Young and Co, Louise worked in private practice in Bristol. Louise joined D Young & Co in 2000 and became a partner in 2003.
Louise has been "singled out for praise" by Chambers in their top tier ranking of D Young & Co (Chambers Intellectual Property: Patent and Trade Mark Agents UK-wide) and is "clearly in the premier league of patent attorneys covering biotech in the UK" according to the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) IP Handbook 2010.

Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London.
