Practice & Professional Experience
Julia’s main areas of expertise are in the physics and electronics fields and her practice includes clients in the microprocessor, consumer electronics, fluid flow and optics fields. She acts for multinational clients and SMEs, dealing with their patent preparation, prosecution and opposition/appeal matters.
Julia joined D Young & Co in 1997 and became a partner in 2006. Prior to joining D Young & Co Julia worked for over eight years as a Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office.
Qualifications
BSc (Hons) in Physics and Electronic Engineering, University of Birmingham.
MSc in Applied Energy, Cranfield Institute of Technology.
Diplôme d’Ingénieur Université de Technologie de Compiègne (French Chemical Engineering Masters degree).
European Patent Attorney 2001.
Chartered Patent Attorney 2001.
European Design Attorney.
