Jo Bradley

Practice & Professional Experience

Jo’s area of expertise is chemistry and her practice includes clients in the petrochemical, fuel additives, polymers, fibre glass products, biosensors, batteries, fuel cells, pharmaceutical and hair dye industries. In particular, Jo handles patent portfolios for several direct clients including a large US fuel additives company and a large Japanese chemical company, dealing with both their patent prosecution and opposition/appeal matters.Jo travels regularly to the US and Japan.

Prior to joining D Young & Co in 2003, Jo had professional experience working in-house for BP Chemicals and in private practice in London. Jo became a partner at D Young & Co in 2006.

Qualifications

MA in Natural Sciences, University of Cambridge.
PhD in Chemistry University of Cambridge (UHV study of heterogeneous catalysis on Pt{100} using supersonic molecular beams).
MSc in Management of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London.
European Patent Attorney 1999.
Chartered Patent Attorney 2000.
European Design Attorney.
