Practice & Professional Experience
Prior to joining D Young & Co in 2004, Helen had professional experience working in-house for Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine Limited and in private practice.
Helen deals with all aspects of trade mark work from clearance searches to enforcement issues. In particular Helen focuses on contentious matters and has handled numerous oppositions and cancellation actions before the IPO and OHIM. Helen also has extensive expertise in filing and prosecuting trade marks under the Madrid Protocol system. Helen has also handled a number due diligence matters. Helen’s direct clients include a multinational television and broadcasting company, multinational beverage company and a number of charities. Helen travels regularly to the US and Japan.
Qualifications
BA (Hons) Law & Geography, Oxford Brookes University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC), Cardiff University.
Registered Trade Mark Attorney 2005.
European Trade Mark Attorney 2005.
European Design Attorney 2005.
