Practice & Professional Experience
Cath’s area of expertise is life sciences and she works with clients specialising in food ingredients, health, gene/protein sequences, diagnostics, immunology, drug delivery, biochemistry and plant biotechnology. In particular, Cath works directly with several large blue chip companies and SMEs in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and opposition matters.
Prior to joining D Young and Co in 2004, Cath’s background was in process development of food ingredients and in the scale-up of active pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications
BSc in Biotechnology, University of Leeds.
MSc in Management of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary College, University of London.
European Intellectual Property and Industrial Property EIPIN Diploma.
Memberships
Student Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA).
