Bénédicte’s areas of expertise include computer technologies, telecommunications, IP networks and electronics. She has a particular interest and experience in computer and business-method related inventions. She handles drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and has been involved in several oppositions (both as patentee and opponent) and in advising on infringement.
Prior to joining D Young & Co in 2009, Bénédicte worked as a Research Engineer in the R&D department of a mobile operator (Orange Labs UK) on convergence of voice and data services across mobile and IP networks. She also worked with the in-house Intellectual Property department on the patent portfolio management for inventions from all teams within the R&D centre. Prior to this, Bénédicte studied a wide range of science subjects in Classes Préparatoires and IP networks, telecommunications and electronics in Télécom ParisTech.
Bénédicte is also a tutor with JDD Consultants for the FD1 'Advanced IP Law and Practice' paper (previously P2) and is a native French speaker.
